Wow, so I have officially been accepted to go to S. Africa with a team of people I do not know for 9 months. This means I have to take a year off of school, which does not bother me too much! =) I have to learn to trust NEW people, begin an entirely new life, and emerge into a new world. This could all be substantially daunting, but I am actually not bothered by any of it. I cannot wait!!!

I know the Lord is sending me, but the one thing that almost seems overwhelming is raising all the money I need for the trip… $12,000! That’s so much money… but I know the good and gracious Jehovah-Jireh will provide for me. I am in the process of stuffing more envelopes of letters for friends and family, and I have an overwhelming peace about the financial side of my trip!

This opportunity is going to be life changing, and I cannot wait until I get to meet everyone on my team. I have begun to get to know some of them through Facebook, but that certainly does not do justice to meeting them in person. That day is soon to come. What the Lord will do through us is unimaginable… I bet we could even move a mountain if we really wanted to!! =) The possibilities of our future is endless because we have the one and only Almighty God on our side. If God before us, who can be against us… Right?!?!?
