The Lord has called me to go.... as with the rest of my team! We probably all have feelings of fear and doubt hidden beneath the surface, but we also just want to be there now. We are in a stage of preparation. I believe that is part of why I am working at camp again. It is preparing me in ways that I do not understand. It's a mystery, and that's where trust and faith comes in. I have to trust in the mystery!!! We have been called to go... so we will go!

Isaiah 61:1-3 says

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,

because the LORD has anointed me

to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim freedom for the captives

and release from darkness for the prisoners,



to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor

and the day of vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn,

That there is the reason I know I am doing what the Lord has called me to. But why South Africa? Well, I know that I was previously accepted to go on a trip to S. Africa with AIM... but it was for 3 months instead of 9! Long story short, the trip was canceled. So I didnt get to go. And since then, my heart absolutely MELTS when I hear the name of this country. I am not sure why, but it has been programmed within my inner being! I have never been there, but I have studied it. I love the people that I do not know. I cry for them. I want to just be with them and give myself away to them! After all, that is what we are called to do.... to give ourselves away! After the sovereign Lord, El Elyon, works within me... he will work through me. I just have to be willing... to be a living sacrifice! When I give myself away, I am a vessel of the Lords, comforting and providing and proclaiming. The people that I, and my team, do not know will be called oaks of righteousness. They will be a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor!
